Matthew Krause – Operating Partner

Matthew Krause is an Operating Partner at Catalyze Dallas where he works to identify intellectual property, manufacturing technology and patents that can be used to create new commercial offerings at an accelerated speed. Matthew also serves as Director of Operations at Alpine Advanced Materials. At Alpine Advanced Materials, he identifies operational risks and develops mitigation strategies; builds profitable relationships with customers and suppliers; establishes and maintains the highest standards of operational excellence; and aligns with Business Development to identify strategic business opportunities.

With more than 20 years of managerial and leadership experience in roles spanning Engineering, Operations, and Business Development, Krause has worked with startups and multinational corporations. His expertise includes the pursuit of various entrepreneurial activities as the founder and CEO of an aerospace startup and consultant providing product development and strategic marketing direction to the aerospace industry.

Before joining Alpine in 2016, then Senior Vice President Krause co-founded Outsource Authority, a turnkey manufacturing and product development company providing an array of services to the personal protective equipment (PPE), oil and gas, aerospace, and medical device industries. He directed all activities involving supplier qualification and selection, product certification planning, and logistics.

Krause launched his engineering career with automotive and aerospace equipment manufacturers. He oversaw all new product development programs at Meggitt Thermal Systems before transitioning into a full-time business development role. Products developed under his direction are currently incorporated in more than a dozen different types of aircraft.

Throughout his professional and entrepreneurial career, Krause has built multiple brands, constructed compelling business and technical case studies and took proactive ownership in developing both processes and products.

Krause holds degrees in Mechanical Engineering Technology and Design Technology from LeTourneau University and is currently completing an MBA at Baylor University.
