Tricia D’Cruz

Founder and Managing Director

Tricia D’Cruz is cofounder and Managing Director of Catalyze Dallas, where her focus is on the company’s growth strategy and execution.  In this role, she assesses hundreds of innovations developed by some of the most advanced defense research labs in the world, and selects among them for investment and commercialization into broad new markets.

Previously, D’Cruz was President and CEO of VectorPoint, a strategy consulting firm she founded, which helped midmarket and early-stage high-tech companies drive growth and improve financial performance. The company’s portfolio of long-term contracts included industries such as healthcare IT, mobile communications, M2M and IoT, fabless semiconductor, and enterprise professional services.

As President/GM of Tekelec’s Switching Solutions Group, D’Cruz held P&L responsibility as a global supplier of softswitch, media gateway and voice server technologies. Among her many achievements, she successfully integrated three acquired startup companies and their portfolios into a single operating unit and subsequently tripled revenues over five quarters to over $35M per quarter, becoming the global market share leader in the wireless media gateway market.

D’Cruz also held P&L responsibility as EVP Product Operations at Efficient Networks, where she helped shepherd the company’s successful IPO and subsequent acquisition by Siemens for $1.5 billion. During this period, she integrated three acquired companies, in addition to orchestrating dramatic organic growth and building the organization to 300+ employees as revenue grew 90% per quarter over five consecutive quarters. When the company was acquired by Siemens, she served as President/GM of the Access Solutions Division, where her leadership of the North American wireline access market resulted in revenue in excess of $450 million annually.

D’Cruz graduated from Texas A&M University with a BS in Computer Science.
