
William Cervin
Principal
William Cervin is a multi-disciplined executive and entrepreneur, with core leadership positions in fields ranging across defense, intelligence, commercial banking, computer vision, financial technology (“FinTech”) and politics.
Over the past decade, Cervin ideated, founded, fundraised, and grew a pioneering FinTech company at the intersection of payment facilitation, point-of-sale, and digital wallet markets. The company’s software facilitated tens of millions in sales for its merchant customers, and was used in all 50 states, two U.S. territories, and multiple U.S. military installations around the world. As CEO, he co-authored a patent in computer vision and machine learning, and gained certifications in both Google Cloud and Amazon Web Services.
Previously, Cervin worked for Silicon Valley Bank’s Cleantech Practice and Government Relations teams in Palo Alto, California, performing diligence on $200M+ in loan commitments as well as government lobbying efforts to support the cleantech portfolio and line of business. Additionally, he co-founded, gained sponsors, and launched an annual international cleantech angel investment forum in Barcelona, Spain which led to $1M+ in early-stage funding for various European cleantech companies.
Cervin also served in various political and civilian capacities: inside The White House drafting political briefings for the President and Cabinet Secretaries in the Office of Political Affairs, at the Pentagon as a Presidential Appointee to the U.S. Air Force General Counsel and Office of the Secretary of Defense, at U.S. Embassy Kabul as a civilian assigned to several joint task forces including counterterrorism, counternarcotics, border security, and terrorist financing, and at the Defense Intelligence Agency as a contractor in the AFPAK cell.
Cervin graduated from Texas A&M University’s Dwight Look College of Engineering with a BS in Industrial Distribution, and from ESADE Business School in Barcelona, Spain, with a Master’s in Business Administration.
